Call me old fashioned, call me a sucker for a romantic story with a happy ending but I am and will always be a strong believer of the school of thought that a man should always pursue the woman. Yes, Yes, we are living in the modern world, equality rules and a woman can do anything a man can do and a woman can go after what she desires....Fine. I am not undermining the women's rights movement. In fact, i am an avid advocate that no woman should be discriminated simply because she is a woman. However, dating is a different ball game all together.

HOW NOT TO BE A PEOPLE PLEASER
I may not know all
the secrets to success. However, I do know that one of the secrets to failure
is trying to please everyone!!!
If you have a
people pleaser pattern, you have a pattern to try and fit into the description
that people have of you, which might not necessary be you. So you live this
mediocre unhappy life and you wonder why you’re not progressing forward. The
way I see it, people pleasing is a disease, and just like all diseases, if you
don’t treat it early enough, it is going to kill you!! I mean it!!Perhaps not a
physical death, but an emotional, psychological and even a spiritual death. Being a yes person is simply exhausting.
So
when you find yourself slowly turning into a yes person remember:

SEVEN TIPS ON FINDING YOUR ‘ONE’!
“You never truly know your
partner! In fact, knowing your partner is more like the growth process of a
wisdom tooth as opposed to peeling a banana!”
Now
this was a baffling statement given that it was made by a woman who was in her
twenty seventh year of marriage. 27!!! I was like, ‘I had better sit down and
listen to this.’

Demystyfing the Marriage Bill 2013
The Marriage
Bill 2013 has been a hot subject of debate in parliament, among the citizens,
in the radio shows and even in households.
Why? One may
wonder. I mean, hardly is there hullabaloo on legislation passed on revenue, land,
Education, Health or even corruption. A brief mention by the media and the
citizens only get concerned when the specific legislation touches on an
individual’s work, business, profession or livelihood (e.g. the VAT Bill 2013
whose first draft provided that basic food items would now be taxed. However,
this has now been amended and basic food items have been exempted from tax.) Perhaps the heated debates surrounding the
marriage bill arise from the fact that marriage touches on family and family is
most basic unit in any given society.
The Marriage
Bill has to be one of the oldest bill still being debated in parliament today. There
have been various amended versions of the bill since 2005 and yet neither of
the parliaments since then has arrived at a consensus succeeding in making the
marriage bill, law.
State of Disbelief
As
I lie on the ground, gazing at the stars,
I
am amazed by your magnificence, your perfection,
Manifested
in the shiny bright stars, the crescent moon,
The
air that I breathe, the swaying trees, the chirping crickets,
And
yet, in the midst of all this magnificence, I still doubt,
Doubt,
when you tell me you love me just as I am,
Doubt,
when you promise me a future full of hope
Oh,
what a constant state of disbelief!!!
